How can I use Feng Shui for better romance in my bedroom?
Feng Shui is a fabulous tool for enhancing your love life. The first obvious point is to remove any distractions from the bedroom. The bedroom is all about the 3 R’s – rest, romance, rejuvenation. Anything that falls outside of those areas needs to go.
Next, check the lighting. Could your gynecologist come over for an exam? If so, you need to tone it down and create mood lighting. Softer light bulbs do the trick. If you have an overhead light only, invest in a dimmer to create this effect.
Next, make sure your bed is inviting. Are the sheets and bedding soft to the touch? Nobody wants to get down on scratchy sheets.
Enhance the room with subtle smells. Aromatherapy candles in vanilla or ylang ylang scents are sexy. Rose is romantic.
Make sure you have some red color in the bedroom. This can be in a painting, in the bedding (throw pillows are ok) or other objects. Red is stimulating and the color of passion which is necessary for romance to flow. Too calming a bedroom = comatose love life.
And here’s a quirker I see all the time – photos, pictures or paintings of single people or objects. If you want to get another body in your bed, get rid of the single images in the bedroom. Last I checked, it takes two to do the horizontal tango (and yeah, I just said horizontal tango!).
